We are ready to Put it together!

This for once is not clickbait in week 28, the hold up has been sorted and that hold up was the fact the exhaust manifold bolt were still stuck in the engine head. However this week that is no more the guy came and for £100 they was out. 1 of them was nice and easy however 2 of them required a little more work they was thread locked in the guys words and needed drilling and a tread inserting to make them work as he didn’t want to go to extreme on the head with its age and it being cast Iron and was worried about cracking the head around the bolts which would of been game over.

The next plan now is to get enough bodies together and get the head back onto the block and with a days work we should be at a point by the end of that day to try turning the engine over and hearing the sweet sound of the Cummins 6BT fire into life and run without the modification of the smoke screen.

The brand new injectors are in the post and on the way as are the new exhaust manifold bolts are and soon as they are with us we can crack on with it. Our aim is to have it all done in one day and have it working by the end of that day.

While putting it back together we are going to be looking at and ensuring all the fuel fittings are tight so we don’t have any issues there hopefully this will make it nice and simple so we don’t have any leaks.

The next update will be from when this engine is back together and hopefully running.
